"VCR Buttons" These are the option buttons at the top of every report that allow you to perform functions like:
Below is a snippet of the VCR dial that is displayed at the top of every page in DSS:
This VCR dial is equipped with numerous options, which allow the user to navigate through the DSS portal after a report selection.
Moving from left to right:
The blue back button navigates the current web page to the previous web page. The second button, navigates to the very first page of the current report. The second green button, when selected takes the user back to the previous page of the currently selected report. If desired, the user can simply enter the page number, and click “GO” in order to automatically be directed to that page of the current report.
From left to right:
The first green button takes the user to the “Next” page of the report, whilst the second green button, navigates to the very last page of the report. The subtraction button (-) can be used in order to Zoom Out, and the Addition button (+), is used for the purpose of Zooming In. Additionally, the “Search” box, can be used to locate any bits of information within the report regardless of which page the desired information is on. In order to Search the displayed report, you will need to click on the (f) icon.
And finally, the last two buttons on the VCR dial:
These buttons allow the user to export, the current report data in either in a PDF format, or as an Excel file. If any of these options are ‘grayed out’, then that would mean that the Option Is not available.
